4.5 stars for The Mask of Mirrors by M. A. Carrick. This story is absolutely worth the read with its rich, Venice-inspired world and intricate character connections. This adult fantasy book is the first instalment in the Rook and Rose series.

4.5 stars from me for this thrilling mystery novel from debut author Chloe Gong with stunning character development and a ton of representation of different nationalities and cultures. Mid year book freak out tag
2020 has been an amazing reading year for me so far. With a total of 66 books already read and almost 6 months to go, I'm sure I'll break my personal record of reading 70 books in a year. As time continues on, I think it would be really fun to look back at this tag, and see which of the books I mention here I actually will have read.
Reading journal set-up MAY
As I really love reading, but I also like being a bit creative, I've been keeping track of my reading in a bullet journal for almost a year now. Last month I had a theme with lemons and the color yellow and I wanted to continue with the colorful, summery vibes.
